The One Voice Benefit Concert will bring together singers and instrumentalists for a powerful concert, which will raise funds for music therapy programs that help survivors of sexual violence. Seattle vocalist Jennifer Hopper, herself a survivor of sexual assault, will headline the show, and special musical guests will accompany her throughout the performance. Susan Bardsley and New York-based musician and Broadway Producer Michael Moritz will direct the show. A highlight of the evening will be a song performed by a “virtual” choir of survivors and advocates. The filmed “virtual” choir will sing one song accompanied by live singers and instrumentalists, showcasing how technology can indeed unite people from all across the country in song. Carter Subaru is sponsoring this event, which will take place on Thursday, October 22 at the Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall at Benaroya Hall. Ticket are $35 General Audience/$80 VIP includes preferred seating and post-concert reception. For information about the organization, visit http://www.angelbandproject.org/.
